Every product and repair from PC Vitamins is backed by a warranty. Here's exactly what's covered, what isn't, and how to make a claim.

Repair Warranty — 3 Months
All repairs performed by PC Vitamins are covered by a 3-month (90-day) warranty from the date of collection. This warranty applies to the specific fault repaired and the components installed during that repair.
If the same fault recurs within 90 days of collection, bring your device and your Job Card to any PC Vitamins store and we will assess and re-repair it at no charge.
The 3-month repair warranty is in addition to, and does not exclude, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

New Devices
PC Vitamins occasionally sells new or sealed devices. These carry the manufacturer's warranty, the terms and duration of which are determined by the manufacturer (e.g., Apple, Samsung, Huawei).
- The manufacturer's warranty is typically registered via the brand's official website or app at the time of setup
- Proof of purchase from PC Vitamins serves as your warranty documentation
- Manufacturer warranties are typically 12 months for devices and 6 months for official accessories
- Warranty claims for new devices in the first 6 months under the CPA may be directed to PC Vitamins, who will facilitate with the manufacturer
Where a new device develops a fault within 6 months of purchase and the manufacturer cannot resolve it within a reasonable time, you may be entitled under the CPA to a replacement or full refund.
Accessories — 6-Month Warranty
Accessories sold by PC Vitamins are covered by a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects.
Covered under the accessories warranty
- Failure to charge or connect due to a manufacturing fault
- Premature cable fraying not caused by misuse
- Earphone or speaker failure under normal use
- Defective power bank cells or circuitry
- Faulty case hinges, clasps, or closures (manufacturing)
Not covered under the accessories warranty
- Damage caused by liquid, excessive heat, or physical impact
- Cables damaged by bending, kinking, or improper storage
- Screen protectors: only covered if defective at point of sale
- Consumables (e.g., screen wipes, cleaning cloths)
To claim, bring the accessory and proof of purchase to any PC Vitamins store. We will replace defective accessories with the same or equivalent item, or issue store credit if a replacement is unavailable.
Pre-Loved / Refurbished Devices — 90-Day Warranty
All refurbished ("pre-loved") devices sold by PC Vitamins are tested, graded, and warranted before sale. They carry a 90-day (3-month) warranty covering hardware faults that arise under normal use.
Each refurbished device is sold with a clear condition grade (A = Excellent through to C = Fair) disclosed at the time of purchase. Cosmetic marks and any known limitations disclosed at sale are not covered by the warranty.
What the 90-day refurbished device warranty covers
- Unexpected hardware failures under normal use
- Screen issues not disclosed at point of sale (dead pixels, touch failures)
- Software instability that is directly attributable to the device hardware
- Functionality failures of stated features (cameras, speakers, buttons, Wi-Fi, cellular)
Not covered under the 90-day refurbished warranty
- Cosmetic blemishes, scratches, or dents disclosed (or reasonably visible) at the time of sale
- Damage caused by drops, liquid, or misuse after purchase
- Battery degradation beyond normal usage
- Devices opened or repaired by a third party after purchase from PC Vitamins
- Software issues caused by customer-installed apps or updates
Under the Consumer Protection Act, if a refurbished device develops a defect within 6 months of purchase, we bear the burden of proving the defect was not present at the time of sale. You may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

Your Rights under the Consumer Protection Act
Our warranty terms supplement — and do not reduce — your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA). Key CPA warranty provisions include:
- Section 56 — Implied Warranty of Quality: For 6 months after delivery, the seller bears the burden of proving that a product defect was not present at the time of delivery.
- Section 55 — Right to Safe, Good Quality Goods: You have the right to receive goods that are reasonably suitable for their intended purpose, of good quality, and free of defects.
- Section 54 — Right to Demand Quality Service: Services (including repairs) must be performed with reasonable care and skill.
